Karen Harvey Jewellery

With a background in horticulture and landscape design, jewellery making has enabled me to extend my passion for beautiful handcrafted objects.

I work with re-milled sterling silver, gold and other precious metals, using traditional silversmithing techniques along with modern etching and molding processes to shape and form my pieces.

My love of nature influences my designs at times with the use of natural objects such as seeds and seed pods, feathers, precious and semi-precious stones which are incorporated into items such as rings, pendants and earrings.

I enjoy working with my clients to create individual pieces which reflect the personality of the wearer, or have deeper personal meanings for them. I have recently begun transforming heirloom jewellery such as engagement rings into contemporary pieces that can be worn and enjoyed …. taking them out of the jewellery box once more!It is always a joy to see the happiness in the faces of clients when they collect their piece that they have had a part in designing or to hear back from them with their stories of what the jewellery means to them or their special someone.
