Born in a Taxi Presents

The Whale's Tale

Manilayo the whale is curiously beached and definitely out of sorts. A desperate call for a doctor heralds the arrival of Dr Walrus, the oversized doctor of questionable ability.

No stone is left unturned as a series of diagnoses ensues. Slapstick routines, dancing and even feeding the whale audience members dressed as ‘krill’ still bring no solution. Until a small child (from the audience) tickles Manilayo in a desperate attempt to cheer him up and Manilayo coughs up a huge ball of plastic.

The Whale’s Tale is a highly engaging work for young people delivering a message of environmental stewardship in a playful way.

The Whale’s Tale is proudly presented by COPACC in partnership with Colac Otway Shire Council’s Environment Team as part of World Environment Day 2020. A show for all ages.
