The Giants "CANCELLED"
Australian rock and roll institution The Giants are returning to the southwest to give our Civic Hall a 60th birthday it won’t forget.
Headed up by charismatic frontman Stuart Wood, who forged his music career in Colac under the tutelage of Mal Maxfield, The Giants will dial up the nostalgia and good times for the Civic Hall’s diamond jubilee year.
The Giants were established in 1981 and are one of Australia’s most respected blues and rock outfits. They’ve been recording and touring since 1990, and are still travelling the world and collaborating with some of Australia’s biggest musical names including Russell Morris, Angry Anderson and Wilbur Wilde.
Stuart Wood has played to packed houses across Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the USA, but without a doubt has his most loyal following in his hometown of Colac. Don’t miss this man’s awesome stage presence, powerhouse vocals and wailing harmonica.
Date/time: Saturday 24 October. Doors open at 7pm with local acts; The Giants from 9/9.30pm.
Running time: The Giants play two 45 minute sets with 30-minute interval
Tickets: Seated $39, General Admission (standing) $33. BYO nibble plates welcome, drinks at bar prices
