Morning Music - Great Songs of the War Years
Promac Productions presents
Great Songs of the War Years
November 11, 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1, the “war to end all wars”.
To commemorate this occasion, Promac Productions bring their highly acclaimed Great Songs Of The War Years to Colac.
Join us in remembrance and enjoy the songs and stories from this period and other significant times of war in the twentieth century.
Concentrating predominately on the popular songs of WW1, this production has assembled a fine cast of six, led by sensational tenor Roy Best, music theatre star Jaz Flowers, international soprano Alison Jones and Opera Australia mezzo Caroline Vercoe.
Chris McKenna will be narrating, with musical direction by Len Vorster on piano.
WW2 and The Vietnam War will also be remembered with more songs and stories, including special tributes to the Andrew Sisters and Dame Vera Lynn.
All of this will be performed with a backdrop of powerful war images on the big screen.
Venue: Auditorium
Date/Time: Monday November 12 at 11am
Running time: 80 minutes, no interval
All tickets $23
