The Thief
Apollo Bay-based master storyteller, singer and songwriter Meryl Leppard presents The Thief, a smart and sassy one-woman show that explores the gamut of female relationships – with the men they love, the men they want to love, and the scaffold of sisterhood that empowers us as lovers come and go.
Threaded together by commanding character-driven songwriting, strong melodies and vivid storytelling, Leppard takes us on a semi-autobiographical journey from Australia’s outback to the USA; exploring love and desire from the perspective of a woman in her 60s.
COPACC is proud to partner with the brilliant Meryl and the Birregurra Arts Group, to present a voice rarely heard in our community that is funny, wicked and poignant in equal measure.
