The Beggars - Sing from the Heart

"Super Australian band:

Renee Donaghey is a genius.”

Bote der Urschweiz Lucerne.

"A truly inspirational performance.”

Matthew Button Venue Coordinator Murray Bridge Town Hall

Internationally acclaimed vocal trio The Beggars draw together the greatest songs from America, Ireland and Australia in a powerful and beautiful performance bringing recollections of love, family, joy and loss.

SING FROM THE HEART unfolds like a journey through life. Quinton Dunne (vocal, double bass) and Renee Donaghey (vocal, guitar) inhabit great songs like Slim Dusty’s wistful Rusty It’s Goodbye, Dolly Parton’s heartfelt Coat Of Many Colours and Tim Hardin’s If I Was A Carpenter.

Third band member Stuart Day (vocal, guitar, fiddle) rounds out this great band, who can belt out rollicking Irish ballads but also have the audience laugh, shed a tear, clap and sing- along with a performance that is funny, intimate and moving.

They weave gorgeous three part vocal harmonies with acoustic textures to transport the listener.

Stories and anecdotes add to the enjoyment, while images projected onstage set the scene, creating vivid and evocative atmospheres for each song.

Join us for a free morning tea before the show at 10am.

Proudly Sponsored by Arundell, Murray and Ryan, Barristers and Solicitors.
