The ‘60s Girls Rock Show
FEATURING SPECIAL GUESTS: Kelly Auty & Andrea Lees
The 1960s produced some extraordinary female vocalists and fabulous songs.
Well known Melbourne ‘60s music specialists, The Substitutes, have handpicked the best artists and songs that you will all know and love: P.P. Arnold, Melanie, Sandie Shaw, Lynne Randell, Lulu, Shocking Blue and Julie Driscoll as well as the giants of the period such as Dusty Springfield, The Supremes, Mamas & Papas, Nancy Sinatra and Joni Mitchell.
The Substitutes have joined forces with acclaimed R&B/Soul singer Kelly Auty and enlisted the help of the versatile and vivacious Andrea Lees. Kelly is well known in Melbourne, having released two albums and has been performing with her band for many years.
She has sung support for Janis Ian, The Drifters, Jose Feliciano and The Platters, and has graced the stage at many festivals throughout Australia. She’s a dynamo; a great vocalist and an inspiring performer.
